G. Louis Hemenway
G. Louis Hemenway was raised in Pilot Rock, Eastern Oregon, where his early musical interest stemmed from his parents' love of music, the church, and AM radio; he asked his mother at age four when he could play piano in church, began piano lessons at six, and started composing at ten, citing influences such as Andre Crouch, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Chicago, Earth, Wind and Fire, and The Temptations.
After moving to Portland to attend Warner Pacific College (now University) and studying under Dr. Dennis Plies, he developed a broad skill set, working extensively in piano and vocal performance, soundtrack recording, production, composition, arranging, teaching, workshops, choral and instrumental directing.
